MINISTER BIRUTA VISITS THE UNION OF THE COMOROS
Moroni, 15 January 2023 – Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Vincent Biruta had a two-day working visit to the Union of the Comoros.
Upon his arrival, Minister Biruta was welcomed by his counterpart Dhoihir Dhoulkamal, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Union of the Comoros. The two Ministers signed a Cooperation Framework Agreement between Rwanda and the Union of Comoros.
The Agreement will promote cooperation in political, economic, social, cultural, scientific, and technical fields, as well as in other areas of mutual interest to be agreed upon by both countries.
On the sidelines of his working visit to Moroni, Minister Biruta was received by H.E Azali Assoumani, President of the Union of the Comoros.
The Republic of Rwanda and the Union of the Comoros share cordial relations as both countries ratified the Bilateral Air Service Agreement in September 2019.
