Rwandans Living in Germany donate classroom facilities to Rwinzovu School in Musanze
Musanze, 09 July 20190 - Members of Rwandan community living in Germany handed over facilities for five class rooms, a girl’s sanitary room and six washrooms to Groupe Scolaire (GS) Rwinzovu in Musanze District, Northern Province of Rwanda.
The facilities were built at a total cost of Rwf 120 million.
Speaking at official inauguration of the classrooms, Providence Tuyisabe, the representative and former president of Rwandan community in Germany recognized the role of fellow Rwandans living in Germany to dedicate part of their properties and give back to Rwandan community, back home.
Marie Claire Uwamariya, the vice mayor in charge of social affairs in Musanze District lauded the contribution of these Rwandans from Germany as students who benefited from the classroom facilities used to make a long journey of 6 kilometers from their homes to school. She also said that the new classrooms will respond to the problem of many students in one classroom where one classroom used to host 65 students and the new facilities will allow one classroom to host only 45 students.
The inaugurated classroom facilities also included one room dedicated for girls, which will also reduce the absences girls-students used to face.
Sandrine Uwimbabazi Maziyateke, Director of Rwanda community abroad in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation thanked His Excellency President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame for his role in widening the relationship with other countries where Rwandans go and enjoy peace and contribute to the development of their mother-nation.
